See the Official Portraits from Prince Louis’s Christening
Kensington Palace has released four photos from Prince Louis’s christening, which took place on July 9 at the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace. The new photos are notable in that they are the first official images that show the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all together (though the family was photographed entering the church together).
In the photographs, shot by portrait photographer Matt Holyoak, Prince Louis is seen wearing the royal christening robe, a replica of the 1841 gown made for Queen Victoria’s daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal. Meanwhile, mother Middleton beams in a white gown by Alexander McQueen. She is seen holding her two-month-old in the garden at the Clarence House (the official residence of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall). Other portraits were taken in the morning room, where father Prince William is seen holding Prince George on his lap, while Princess Charlotte cozies up to her mother.
In another group shot, the family of five are joined by other members of the royal family: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and sister Pippa Matthews and her husband, James.
