SEI: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

OAKS, Pa. (AP) _ SEI Investments Co. (SEIC) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $128.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the Oaks, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of 80 cents.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 77 cents per share.

The investment management firm posted revenue of $408.7 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $409.4 million.

SEI shares have dropped 27 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $52.66, a decrease of 16 percent in the last 12 months.
