BRANCHVILLE, N.J. (AP) _ Selective Insurance Group Inc. (SIGI) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $72.3 million.
The Branchville, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of $1.21 per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, came to $1.16 per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $708.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $701.1 million.
Selective Insurance shares have increased 23% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $75.20, a climb of 26% in the last 12 months.
