MARION, N.Y. (AP) _ Seneca Foods Corp. (SENEA) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $1.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Marion, New York-based company said it had profit of 12 cents.
The fruit and vegetable company posted revenue of $264.9 million in the period.
Seneca Foods shares have risen 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $30.25, a rise of almost 5% in the last 12 months.
