MARION, N.Y. (AP) _ Seneca Foods Corp. (SENEA) on Thursday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $1.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Marion, New York-based company said it had a loss of 17 cents per share.
The fruit and vegetable company posted revenue of $266.1 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $12.5 million, or $1.27 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.25 billion.
Seneca Foods shares have decreased 15 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $33.90, a rise of nearly 6 percent in the last 12 months.
