HENGELO, Netherlands (AP) _ Sensata Technologies Holding NV (ST) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $88 million.
The Hengelo, Netherlands-based company said it had profit of 51 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, came to 81 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 80 cents per share.
The maker of sensing, electrical protection, control and power management products posted revenue of $819.1 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $800.6 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Sensata expects its per-share earnings to range from 82 cents to 86 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $808 million to $832 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
Sensata expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.14 to $3.18 per share, with revenue ranging from $3.27 billion to $3.3 billion.
Sensata shares have increased 29 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 35 percent in the last 12 months.
