SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) _ ShoreTel Inc. (SHOR) on Wednesday reported a loss of $2.9 million in its fiscal third quarter.
The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 1 cent per share.
The maker of internet phone and messaging systems posted revenue of $87.7 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $84.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in June, ShoreTel said it expects revenue in the range of $88 million to $94 million.
ShoreTel shares have fallen 15 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.05, a drop of 14 percent in the last 12 months.
