SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) _ Sientra Inc. (SIEN) on Wednesday reported a loss of $20.2 million in its fourth quarter.
The Santa Barbara, California-based company said it had a loss of 41 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for restructuring costs, were 39 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 42 cents per share.
The breast implant maker posted revenue of $23.2 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $106.8 million, or $2.63 per share. Revenue was reported as $83.7 million.
Sientra expects full-year revenue in the range of $94 million to $98 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $2.44. A year ago, they were trading at $11.29.
