HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) _ Signet Jewelers Ltd. (SIG) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $187.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said it had net income of $3.14 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.67 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.47 per share.
The jewelry company posted revenue of $2.15 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported net income of $105.5 million, or $1.40 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $6.14 billion.
Signet shares have decreased 66% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 72% in the last 12 months.
