NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ SmileDirectClub Inc. (SDC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $88.3 million in its third quarter.
The Nashville, Tennessee-based company said it had a loss of 89 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 99 cents per share.
The direct-to-consumer teeth-straightening company posted revenue of $180.2 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $165.7 million.
SmileDirectClub expects full-year revenue in the range of $750 million to $755 million.
