SodaStream: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

AIRPORT CITY, Israel (AP) _ SodaStream International Ltd. (SODA) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $26.1 million.

On a per-share basis, the Airport City, Israel-based company said it had net income of $1.14.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 71 cents per share.

The maker of beverage carbonation systems posted revenue of $171.5 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $149.2 million.

SodaStream shares have risen 24 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 55 percent in the last 12 months.
