Softbank to launch 4G pact

The Japan-based company could partner with Google (GOOG) and Amazon (AMZN) after regulators approve its $20.1 bil investment in Sprint Nextel (S), according to Macquarie Capital. In Oct. SoftBank said it would buy a 70% stake in Sprint for $20.1 bil. The deal is expected to be approved this summer by the SEC. Also pending is Sprint's deal to acquire full ownership of Clearwire. Sprint shares 0.7%. Google rose 2.1%. Amazon rose shares 0.9%.
