Song premiere: Barenaked Ladies debut 'Invisible Fence'

Barenaked Ladies have some impressive stats under their belts: More than 14 million albums sold, multiple JUNO Awards and Grammy nominations…and now, the rapidly approaching release of their 15th studio album, Fake Nudes, which will be out November 17.

Yahoo Music is pleased to debut a brand-new song from the set, “Invisible Fence,” which was written by the band’s keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Kevin Hearn, and sends a powerful message in these highly political and divided times.

“‘Invisible Fence’ is a song about racism and the mental barriers that keep us divided,” Hearn explains of the track. “We need to come together as humans, and learn to share and care for our collective home. We are all the same, it doesn’t matter if your skin is brown, black, white, red, yellow, or orange.”

Barenaked Ladies will kick off a Canadian tour on the release date of the album, followed by a U.S. tour in 2018. If you’d like to keep up with their schedule, check here.
