Sophie Turner Wasn’t Allowed to Wash Her Hair While Filming ‘GoT’ & Talk About Commitment
Sansa Stark is known for her stunning red hair (and for being a general badass), but her gorgeous locks came at a price for actress Sophie Turner.
The 22-year-old Game of Thrones star revealed during an interview with InStyle that she was asked not to wash her hair while filming for a long time.
“Well, for the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl,” Turner explained. “Toward season five they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.” (Yeah, we’d say so.)
On top of being, well, unpleasant, Turner said her greasy hair was “really itchy” and snow particles would “get stuck in the grease.”
Today, however, those greasy days are behind her. “Now I wear a wig so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice. But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair,” the actress admitted.
