South Jersey Gas Donates $1 Million to Millville Redevelopment Efforts Through Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program

FOLSOM, NJ - South Jersey Gas made a $1 million investment in the Center City Redevelopment project in Millville, NJ through the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit program. The contribution will go to the Holly City Development Corporation, a non-profit organization and direct subsidiary of the Millville Housing Authority that facilitates development of affordable housing and other community development facilities in Millville.

The Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program is designed to foster the revitalization of New Jersey`s distressed neighborhoods. Program funds are used by eligible non-profit organizations, such as Holly City Development, for projects and activities that will improve the neighborhoods they serve, in accordance with an approved neighborhood revitalization plan.

"We are excited about our new partnership with South Jersey Gas," said Paul Dice, Executive Director of the Holly City Development Corporation. "With their generous support, we will be able to improve Center City Millville by tearing down dilapidated buildings, installing lighting and surveillance cameras, providing funding for the new Millville Community Center and more. These projects would not have been possible if South Jersey Gas had not supported our project," Dice noted.

SJG President, Jeffrey E. DuBois stated, "We are pleased to offer support to this project, particularly because we have roots in the city of Millville with a divisional office and a Compressed Natural Gas station located here. This partnership provides us with the opportunity to invest in the future and the families in a location where our employees live and work."

South Jersey Gas, the principal subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, serves natural gas to over 362,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, and significant portions of Gloucester, Burlington and Camden counties.
