COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ South State Corp. (SSB) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $51.6 million.
The bank, based in Columbia, South Carolina, said it had earnings of $1.50 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.49 per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $187.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $165 million, surpassing Street forecasts.
South State shares have climbed 32% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $78.95, a climb of 24% in the last 12 months.
