Spartan Motors: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (AP) _ Spartan Motors Inc. (SPAR) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $3.7 million.

The Charlotte, Michigan-based company said it had net income of 11 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 12 cents per share.

The maker of chassis for fire trucks, RVs and other vehicles posted revenue of $184 million in the period.

Spartan Motors expects full-year earnings in the range of 60 cents to 66 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $790 million to $815 million.

Spartan Motors shares have fallen roughly 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 62 percent in the last 12 months.
