Speculators lift U.S. dollar net long bets to highest since mid-May -CFTC, Reuters data

NEW YORK, July 22 (Reuters) - Speculators' net long positioning on the U.S. dollar rose to its highest level since mid-May, according to calculations by Reuters and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.

The value of the net long dollar position climbed to $18.98 billion in the week ended July 19, from $16.69 billion the previous week, CFTC data showed. Net long dollar positions have increased for a third consecutive week. (Reporting by Gertrude Chavez-Dreyfuss; editing by Diane Craft)
