CONCORD, N.C. (AP) _ Speedway Motorsports Inc. (TRK) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $8.6 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Concord, North Carolina-based company said it had net income of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 22 cents per share.
The racetrack operator posted revenue of $107.9 million in the period.
Speedway expects full-year earnings to be 90 cents to $1.10 per share.
Speedway shares have climbed 13% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 4% in the last 12 months.
