As news continues to pour in from Charlottesville, Virginia, the sports world took to Twitter to react to the disturbing images from the rallies and protests.

LeBron James responded with questions about where America is heading.

He added:

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long, who is from Charlottesville and went to the University of Virginia, was one of the first athletes to offer his thoughts.

Other current and former UVA sports stars also commented on the rallies, and the school even cancelled its football activities because of the protests

Other athletes also chimed in.

And the Detroit Red Wings “vehemently” condemned the rallies, especially after the team’s logo was used by white nationalists throughout the day.
