Hot restaurants. Charming cobblestone streets. High-end homes. Red Hook is shaping up to become Brooklyn’s next must-live luxury destination, and this newly listed penthouse condo is proof.
The third-floor apartment is located atop The Conover, a swanky 22-unit condominium by local property developer RedHoek+Partners. Clocking in at almost 2,000 square feet, the condo comprises three bedrooms and two and a half baths, and the sprawling 1,400-square-foot private rooftop terrace is almost the same size as the unit itself. The $3.15 million asking price makes it the most expensive condo currently on the market in the neighborhood.

The clean-lined, contemporary pad showcases wide-plank white oak flooring, oversized windows, and 10-foot exposed concrete ceilings. The kitchen is decked out with custom millwork, a huge island with quartz countertops, bronze finishes, and top-of-the-line Fisher Paykel appliances. Each of the bedrooms features sweeping city views and spacious closets, but it’s the primary suite that takes the cake. The space is complete with a soothing, spa-like bath finished with Caesarstone vanity counters, ceramic tile feature walls, and ivory porcelain floors.
Designed by Tel Aviv-based FAB 314 architects, The Conover remains true to the neighborhood’s industrial history with a custom concrete and pinewood façade. Residences range from one to three bedrooms and offer either a townhouse, penthouse, or garden layout. On-site parking is available for residents to purchase, and there’s also a bike room for when you’re done zipping around the neighborhood on two wheels.
The boutique building is located at 199 Conover Street, right across from the Widow Jane artisanal whiskey distillery. It’s also super close to the waterfront and Louis Valentino Pier, where you can catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty. Over the past few decades, Red Hook has become known as something of a creative enclave. Most notably, Dustin Yellin opened Pioneer Works here in 2012, a 14,000-square-foot arts and science center.
Sara Kennedy, Thomas Malloy, Jill Preschel, and Kirsten Jordan of Douglas Elliman hold the listing.
