The 'Spy Who Dumped Me' stunt that scared the daylights out of Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon

They’re not jumping out of airplanes 100 times like that Mission: Impossible showoff Tom Cruise, but Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon still managed to get their stunt on in the new action-comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me.

And they were terrified.

“We were shooting a foreign country where different rules apply,” Kunis said of her experience filming in Budapest (watch above). “And so they just stuck us in a car, and the car went. And we didn’t have control as to where the car was going. The reactions that you see on our [faces] in a particular scene where there’s a long car chase, they’re genuine. … Horror and fear.”

Added McKinnon, “I thought that sucker was going to roll through the street. That was wild.”

Co-written (with David Iserson) and directed by Susanna Fogel, The Spy Who Dumped Me follows two best friends unwittingly drawn into the dangerous world of international espionage when one of them discovers her ex was a spy.

It’s a buddy comedy that brings together two of the funniest women in the business, and an action movie that now allows them to add “stuntwoman” to their résumés.

“I like to think we did all our own stunts,” Kunis laughed.

The Spy Who Dumped Me opens Friday. Watch the trailer:
