LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) _ Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $8.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Long Island City, New York-based company said it had a loss of 38 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 54 cents per share.
The auto parts maker posted revenue of $240 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $38 million, or $1.64 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.12 billion.
Standard Motor Products shares have risen slightly more than 7 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased nearly 1 percent in the last 12 months.
