Starbucks Has Two New Instagrammable Drinks in Honor of the First Day of Summer

It’s officially the first day of summer, and while you may be marking the occasion with a dip in the pool or a trip to the beach, Starbucks is celebrating with two brand new iced tea drinks. And get ready — you're going to want to take a lot of pictures of them.

The Summer Sunrise and Summer Sunset are what the brand is calling their two new Cold Foam Tea Lemonades. They're made with a combination of lemonade, pineapple infusion, and “cold foam” infused with Teavana Passion Tango herbal tea. The “sunrise” version has a lemonade base, giving it the yellowish hue of a sunrise, and the “sunset” version features the same lemonade infused with Passion Tea, making it the same pinky-orange as a sunset.

What’s most interesting about these two menu additions is the fact that they’re made with “cold foam,” a concept that the brand calls “a modern twist on the classic steamed foam.” The concoction is frothed cold instead of hot (a la steamed milk), and made by blending non-fat milk until it’s the perfect, smooth topper for an icy drink. If iced tea drinks aren't quite your thing, there are various coffee drinks that come with it, including the Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew, the Cold Foam Cascara Nitro Cold Brew, and the Cold Foam Starbucks Blonde Iced Cappuccino.

The Summer Sunrise and Summer Sunset aren’t the only exciting additions to Starbucks’s menu of late. Earlier this week, the mega coffee chain announced the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, a hot pink, highly Instagrammable iced tea drink made with tropical dragonfruit. Consider these the 2018 version of last year's viral Mermaid and Unicorn Frappuccinos, but less mythical creature-y.

Just like the warm summer weather, the chance to get your hands on these drinks is, sadly, fleeting. The Summer Sunrise and Summer Sunset drinks will be available in the U.S. and Canada for a limited time starting on June 22. Better get sipping! (And, OK, ‘gramming these babies in front of some actual sunrises and sunsets.)
