When I heard about this $60,000 scotch whisky-themed penthouse, I had to ask: Is it worth it? How could it be? That's more than...it's just a lot. But the Stories Suite experience is luxurious, with a multi-course dinner, guided whisky tasting, and chauffeured tour of the NYC's best speakeasies. What I'm trying to say is...it might be worth it?
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the penthouse itself is, um, ridiculous. It's three stories, can house up to six guests, and is just all kinds of extravagant. There's also a lot of booze, obviously. We're talking premium, rare bottles here.
The "once-in-a-lifetime" package is for a two-night stay between Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 21. Scotland-based distillery The Balvenie is creating the pop-up at a Midtown Manhattan location and adorning it with all the artwork.
The distillery also notes that traditional hotel amenities will have a "Balvenie twist." Not entirely sure what that means, but it's got to be good! The best (confirmed) part? You'll score a rare bottle of The Balvenie signed by acclaimed malt master David C. Stewart.
If you've actually got the cash to stay, booking opens for the Stories Suite on June 7, 2019. And, yep, that pricing is the real deal. It costs the full $60K for a two-night stay, though one-night options are available.
Oh, and, uh, since the place fits up to six people, hit me up if you've got an open room. It's the least you could do. XO!
