Spring has sprung which means warm weather is on its way (if it’s not here already, depending on where you are). Best of all, the color palettes—ripe with pastel shades of yellow, green, blue, and pink—that emerge this time of year can quite literally brighten your day. The point is, if you’ve been looking for a reason to stock up on new items from Lululemon’s Spring 2023 Align collection, Athleta’s new tennis collection, or Target’s viral JoyLab drop, let this be your excuse. Of course, if you still need a little nudge, ahead you’ll find 12 pieces of Athleticwear we’re shopping this spring.
lululemon Align™ High-Rise Pant 25"
You can never have too many leggings in our book, so if you’ve been looking to add some fresh springtime hues to your athleticwear drawer, be sure to check out the wildly popular lululemon Align High-Rise Pant 25” (sold in women’s sizes 0 to 20), especially in the shades Maldives Green, Solar Orange, and Pale Raspberry (though, there are 20 other colors to choose from). Pair it with the coordinating lululemon Align™ Bra Light Support, C/D Cup ($58), pick out a jacket, grab your belt bag, and be assured that you look your springtime best. Not convinced? Check out our full review of the Align leggings.
Adidas Ultraboost Light Running Shoes
Did you know that the cult favorite Adidas Ultraboost Running Sneaker recently debuted a brand-new Light version? The Ultraboost Light Running Sneaker is available in women’s sizes 6 to 10 and if you ask us, the Blue/Orange and White/Red options are perfect for spring. I’ve personally tested and reviewed these sneakers and, as a longtime fan of Ultraboosts, I can attest to just how lightweight they are in comparison to the original, which is why I find myself choosing them not only for jogs but everyday errands, too.

JoyLab Women's Seamless Short Bodysuit
In case you missed it: Spandex bodysuits are back and while many, many expensive silhouettes exist, the JoyLab Women’s Seamless Short Bodysuit has quickly become a cult fave. Having already amassed over 1.6 billion views on TikTok thanks to its Free People dupe status, this V-neck bodysuit is sold in three colors in women’s sizes XS to XL. Pair it with your favorite claw clip, sneakers, and the Calpak Luka Mini Belt Bag ($48), and you’ll be ready for whatever low-impact workout the day has in store.
FP Movement Care FP What A Feeling Bustier
With bustier-style sports bras trending on social media, the Care FP What A Feeling Bustier is a no-brainer for your spring workout wardrobe. Sold in three colors in women’s sizes XS to XL, the square-neck, longline bra has thick seams to mimic the appearance of traditional bustier boning. Suffice to say, this is one of the chicest sports bras we’ve seen in a long time, and considering it has over 2,000 likes by Free People shoppers, we know we’re not alone in loving the look.
To complete your spring-ready workout ensemble, pair this bra with the Care FP What A Feeling Pocket Leggings ($88; sold in two colors in women’s sizes XS to XL).
Terez Colorblock Tennis Dress in Bougainvillea
Whether you’re planning to play tennis, pickleball, or racquetball—or even just look extra sporty at brunch—the Terez Colorblock Tennis Dress in Bougainvillea is a great option this spring. The colorful silhouette, which features adjustable straps, has a white bodice and white mesh skirt overlay with built-in hot pink pocket bike shorts underneath. The open-back design is sold in women’s sizes XXS to XL in four colors, though, each of the other colors has its own page. (For example, see the Tennis Dress in the equally cute and trendy Secondary Stripe, here.)
Hoka Clifton 9
Ready to take your running (jogging or walking) routine back outside this spring? The Hoka Clifton 9, sold in women’s sizes 6 to 11, are here to make the experience as comfortable and cushioned as possible. The ultra-plush sneakers are made with lightweight foam and a billowed silhouette to promote balance and bounce with each and every step.
These kicks feature one of my favorite sneaker silhouettes of 2023! Plus, just look at the colors—there's a gorgeous array to choose from.)
Girlfriend Collective Crew Sock
Okay, okay, socks might not be the most seasonal item—especially if you opt for a white silhouette—but hear me out. I have never, ever, found a more comfortable crew sock than the Girlfriend Collective Crew Sock. Made with the perfect amount of compression, these simple socks, which are sold in four solid and four striped options in three sizes suitable for women’s sizes 4 to 12, are comfortable and supportive, and never bunch up in your shoes. While they’re not great for the trendy slouchy sock trend, they’re breathable and moisture-wicking, which is much more important this time of year.

Beyond Yoga Spacedye Lift Your Spirits Bra
Looking to add a burst of color to your vinyasa flow? Or perhaps you want to switch up your go-to barre outfit? Whatever the case may be, the Beyond Yoga Spacedye Lift Your Spirits Bra (and matching Beyond Yoga Spacedye At Your Leisure High Waisted Midi Legging, $97)—both sold in women’s sizes XXS to 4X—are worth making room for in your athleticwear drawer.
There is nothing softer than this fabric; it’s truly unmatched. Beyond the feel, the look of this racerback V-neck bra, complete with body-contour seams, is modern and fresh, making it the perfect addition for spring. And that Pink Hyper color? We’re swooning.
Reebok Nano X3 Cross Training Shoe
Planning to be a bit more intense with your springtime workouts? The Reebok Nano X3 Cross Training Shoe is here to help you master your connection with the floor during functional exercises like squats and deadlifts. The flat, firm soles offer steady support that you’ll quickly come to love and rely on—so much so that you may feel inclined to buy multiple colors. Fortunately for you, these new sneaks are sold in 11 colors in women’s sizes 6.5 to 13.5.
Athleta Advantage Poplin Top
Not all athleticwear has to be compressive. If you’re planning to spend time on the court, on an early morning walk or out on a hike, you may want a long-sleeve top for a bit more coverage and warmth. The Athleta Advantage Poplin Top—a popular pick from the brand’s new tennis collection—is sold in three colors in women’s sizes XXS to 3X. The flowy, quarter-zip tunic top is made of breathable recycled polyester poplin and, best of all, it’s water repellent, so you’ll stay dry while out and about on misty spring mornings.
lululemon Love Tank Top
If you like to work out in tank tops, trust me when I say: The lululemon Love Tank Top is as good as it gets. The slightly longer curved hem is a refreshing contrast to the often-cropped silhouette of our day, and I find that it hits right around crotch level, so if your goal is to conceal any front seams in your leggings, consider this top even more of a must-have. Needless to say, if you’re like me, you’ll be thrilled to know that the moisture-wicking, racerback silhouette is sold in 14 colors in women’s sizes 0 to 20.
Mayfair Group In My Feels Crewneck
If you’re someone who loves to slip out of your gym clothes and into cozy athleisure the moment your sweat sesh is over (post-shower, of course), you’ll love the Mayfair Group In My Feels Crewneck and matching In My Feels Sweatshorts.
Pair the trendy ensemble with a pair of comfy slides, like the new APL Women's TechLoom ZigZag Slide ($150) ($150), to complete the look.
