JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Stein Mart Inc. (SMRT) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $4.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based company said it had net income of 9 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 7 cents per share.
The apparel retailer posted revenue of $344.5 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $6 million, or 13 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.27 billion.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $1.21. A year ago, they were trading at 83 cents.
