DUBLIN (AP) _ Steris Corp. (STE) on Monday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $94.8 million.
The Dublin-based company said it had profit of $1.11 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.32 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.26 per share.
The medical products maker posted revenue of $736.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $715.9 million.
Steris expects full-year earnings in the range of $5.50 to $5.65 per share.
Steris shares have increased 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $140.50, an increase of 26% in the last 12 months.
