U.S. stock markets will be closed Friday, April 19 in observance of Good Friday.
The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will resume normal trading hours on Monday.
The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association also recommended the U.S. bond market close Friday. Additionally, it recommended that the bond market close early on Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. EST.
This marks the first market holiday since Washington's Birthday, which was on Monday, Feb. 18. The next market holiday will be Memorial Day, which falls on Monday, May 27 this year.
