On November 29, 2019, SORL announced that it had entered into a merger agreement with Ruili International Inc. ("Ruili") whereby Ruili will acquire all of the outstanding publicly traded shares of SORL for $4.72 per share in cash. According to the announcement, Ruili and its consortium members are the majority owners of SORL, and currently own approximately 58% of SORL's outstanding shares. Following the closing of the proposed transaction, SORL will cease to be a publicly traded company.
