Stocks That Fell to 3-Year Lows in the Week of Oct. 5

Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD), Westpac Banking Corp. (WBK), Liberty Global PLC (LBTYK), and WPP PLC (WPP) have declined to their three-year lows.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) declined to $86.65

The prices of Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) shares have declined to $86.65 on Oct. 5, which is only 1.7% above the 3-year low of $85.14.


Anheuser-Busch is a Brazilian-Belgian international beverage and brewing company. The company is the world's largest brewer and is considered one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods companies in the world. The company was enlarged in October of 2016 when the company purchased SABMiller and concluded a merger. The company is expected to have an estimated global market share of 28%.

Anheuser-Busch Inbev has a market cap of $171.17 billion; its shares were traded around $86.65 with a P/E ratio of 22.51 and P/S ratio of 3.13. On Oct. 1 Anheuser-Busch InBev announced that Felipe Szpigel, the leader of The High End/Craft BU, has decided to leave his current position to start up a new drinks venture. Marcelo "Mika" Michaelis, VP Sales for Region 7, will be stepping into the role and joining MANCOM. These changes in leadership will take effect in January 2019

Westpac Banking Corp. (WBK) declined to $19.25

The prices of Westpac Banking Corp. (WBK) shares have declined to $19.25 on Oct. 5, which is only 0.1% above the 3-year low of $19.23.

Westpac Banking Corp. is an Australian bank and financial services provider that is one of Australia's "big four" banks. As of March 2018, the company has approximately 14 million customers and employs 40,000 people.

Liberty Global PLC (LBTYK) declined to $26.04

The prices of Liberty Global PLC (LBTYK) shares have declined to $26.04 on Oct. 5, which is only 3.8% above the 3-year low of $25.05.

Liberty Global PLC is an American international telecommunications and media company. It was formed in 2005 through the merger of the international arm of Liberty Media and UGC. The company is the largest broadband internet service provider outside of the U.S.

Liberty Global PLC has a market cap of $20.2 billion; its shares were traded around $26.04 with and P/S ratio of 1.48.

On Sept. 7 Liberty Global PLC announced that it has launched a new Gigabit broadband speed service in Warsaw, Poland, for the benefit of its UPC Poland customers. Warsaw is only the second European city to launch this service, following a similar debut in Bochum, Germany, in May of 2018. The new broadband speed service is only possible through the introduction of the company's Gigabit Connect Box.

WPP PLC (WPP) declined to $74.12

The prices of WPP PLC (WPP) shares have declined to $74.12 on Oct. 5, which is only 1.6% above the 3-year low of $72.92.

WPP PLC is a British international advertising and public relations company. The company owns a variety of advertising, public relations and market research networks, including IMRB, Millward Brown, Grey, and TNS. The company is a component of the FTSE 100 Index and has listings in both the NASDAQ and LSE.

WPP PLC has a market cap of $18.95 billion; its shares were traded around $74.12 with a P/E ratio of 7.66 and P/S ratio of 0.94. The trailing 12-month dividend yield of WPP PLC stocks is 5.42%. The forward dividend yield of WPP PLC stocks is 5.45%. WPP PLC had an annual average earnings growth of 7.80% over the past 10 years.

On Sept. 26 WPP PLC announced the creation of a new agency, VMLY&R, combining brand experience and advertising of both VML and Y&R to create value for clients. The purpose of the new agency is to deliver a fully integrated digital offering to clients worldwide. VMLY&R will be led by global CEO Jon Cook, who is currently global CEO of VML. He will report to Mark Read, CEO of WPP.
