NEW YORK (AP) _ StoneCastle Financial Corp. (BANX) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had profit of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, were 39 cents per share.
The investment company posted revenue of $4.2 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $7 million, or $1.07 per share. Revenue was reported as $17 million.
StoneCastle shares have risen roughly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $19.76, a climb of 23 percent in the last 12 months.
