DUBLIN (AP) _ Strongbridge Biopharma (SBBP) on Wednesday reported a loss of $2.9 million in its second quarter.

The Dublin-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 36 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $4.3 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.5 million.

The company's shares closed at $4.50. A year ago, they were trading at $6.90.
