More Than 10 Georgia School Districts and Counties Requested Meetings for Deployment of StudentConnect on Their School Buses
MARIETTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jun 25, 2014) - StudentConnect Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of East Coast Diversified Corporation (OTC Pink: ECDC) (PINKSHEETS: ECDC), today announced that the showcase sponsored for it by Verizon Wireless at the Georgia Association for Pupil Transportation Conference was a big success for the company.
More than 10 Georgia Counties and School Districts requested or scheduled meetings to discuss deployment of StudentConnect on their buses. Several other districts express interest and plan to schedule meetings to discuss the program. StudentConnect joined the Verizon Partner Program in 2013. In addition to our joint marketing efforts, StudentConnect devices will operate exclusively on the Verizon network.
StudentConnect provides school transportation and School attendance technology to School districts at no cost. Services provided by StudentConnect will utilize its proprietary GPS and RFID technology to identify student's entry and exit on school buses or other anomalies that may occur during student's transportation. The program is funded by corporate advertisers; sponsors' messages are delivered to the parents with notification about student's status.
