The Superdome had brief flashbacks to the 2013 Super Bowl.

As Troy’s John Johnson scored a touchdown to make his team go up 20 points on North Texas in the New Orleans Bowl, the Superdome’s lights briefly went out. Take a look.

Just a few seconds after the lights went out, they came right back on. It was nothing like what happened when the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers were delayed 34 minutes because of a power surge. But it was impossible to not think about the Ravens’ victory when the lights flickered Saturday.

Troy won the game 50-30 to move to 11-2. It’s the first 11-win season for the Trojans since moving up to college football’s top level in 2001. North Texas finishes the season at 9-5.
