Superior Court Jury Rules in Favor of Cooley Manion Jones LLP Clients Monument Data Solutions and Dennis Colameta and Awards Monetary Damages Against Protege Software Services

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2013) - Cooley Manion Jones LLP announces today, on behalf of its clients Monument Data Solutions LLC and Dennis Colameta, that a jury in the Middlesex Superior Court awarded Mr. Colameta damages against Protégé Software Services, Inc. for breach of contract and issued a verdict against Protégé Software's claim for misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information. This lawsuit is titled Protégé Software Services, Inc. v. Colameta, et al., Civ. A. No. MICV2009-03168.

This jury verdict in favor of Monument Data Solutions and Dennis Colameta follows a Superior Court decision last year that Protégé Software had breached Mr. Colameta's employment agreement, entitling him to monetary damages and attorneys' fees. This jury verdict in favor of Monument and Mr. Colameta on Protégé Software's remaining misappropriation claim is a welcome result for our clients, who have staunchly defended themselves against Protégé Software's allegations for over three years and unequivocally denied any wrongdoing.
