ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) _ Supernus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SUPN) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $32.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Rockville, Maryland-based company said it had profit of 61 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 56 cents per share.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $104.7 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $108.7 million.
Supernus shares have climbed slightly since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $33.30, a fall of 37% in the last 12 months.
