Tabe joins Hong Kong Esports as Coach

Tabe is the new Head Coach of Hong Kong Esports (HKE weibo)

Wang “Tabe” Pakkan has joined Hong Kong Esports’ League of Legends team as Coach, according to the team’s weibo.

Though originally from Hong Kong, Tabe has a long history of experience in the Mainland Chinese LoL scene going back to 2011, including placing second in the 2013 World Championship with Royal Club Huang Zu. Most recently, Tabe played support for Invictus Gaming in 2016.

Hong Kong Esports recently parted ways with Head Coach Jordan “Grey” Corby, who joined another LMS team, Machi Esports. With Corby, HKE participated in the 2017 Intel Extreme Masters World Champioship. They placed 5th/6th and lost to H2K-Gaming in the Group A lower bracket.

HKE has also been embroiled in a fair amount of controversy surrounding a contractual dispute with former World Champion, Lau “Toyz” Waikin. Tabe also has a long controversial history, including his discussion on the Riot desk of Invictus Gaming’s strategy at the 2015 World Championship.

The weibo post also stated they will announce their full roster for the new split of LMS soon. They placed fifth in the 2017 Spring split.
