MOORESTOWN, N.J. (AP) _ Tabula Rasa Healthcare Inc. (TRHC) on Thursday reported a third-quarter loss of $8.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Moorestown, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 22 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 18 cents per share.
The developer of health care software posted revenue of $74.3 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $75.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Tabula Rasa Healthcare said it expects revenue in the range of $71 million to $74 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $282 million to $285 million.
Tabula Rasa Healthcare shares have dropped 22% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $50.05, a fall of 33% in the last 12 months.
