HOUSTON (AP) _ Talos Energy, Inc. (TALO) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $94.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had profit of $1.74 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.25 per share.
The independent oil and gas company posted revenue of $286.8 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $268.2 million.
Talos Energy shares have climbed 13% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $18.40, a decrease of 49% in the last 12 months.
