The record-setting demand for TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR immediately carried over to the big screen with the TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film, as fans who were unable to see the concert in person, or who want to experience it again as a concert film, rushed to buy tickets at AMC Theatres

Following the announcement of TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film on Thursday morning, the film set new records at AMC for highest ever single-day advance ticket sales revenue

To accommodate this extraordinary demand, every U.S. AMC Theatre location will run at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and AMC already is adding additional auditoriums to play the concert film at numerous theatre throughout the United States

LEAWOOD, Kan., September 01, 2023--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AMC Theatres® (NYSE:AMC), the largest theatrical exhibitor in the United States and the world, today announced that TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film is now officially a record-breaking movie. The film, which was announced with tickets on sale Thursday morning, shattered records for single-day advance ticket sales revenue at AMC.

Thursday’s ticket sales represented $26 million in ticket-sales revenue, a new record for ticket sales for a single title on one day at AMC. The previous record of $16.9 million was held by SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.

Additionally, less than three hours after tickets went on sale for TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film, it shattered the first-day, 24-hour ticket sales revenue record at AMC, previously held by SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME in 2021.

Recognizing this unprecedented demand, AMC is adding additional showtimes to increase capacity where necessary and available. During its run at AMC, TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film will play at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, at every AMC theatre location in the United States. AMC Theatres serving as TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film distributor

This marks the inaugural step of a new line of business for AMC Entertainment. In addition to exhibiting TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film at its own theatres, AMC is also acting as the theatrical distributor, securing locations and screens with numerous other movie theatre operators throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. AMC already has secured deals with major theatrical exhibitors Cinemark and Regal in the U.S., Cineplex in Canada, and Cinepolis in Mexico, to show TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film. Numerous other movie theatre operators have also agreed to show this concert film experience in their theatres beginning October 13, and AMC expects that more will follow in the coming days and weeks. AMC has engaged Variance Films to coordinate this booking with interested exhibitors in the United States.

Due to the unique nature of this incredible special event: No free movie passes will be accepted, and AMC Stubs A-List members may not use their membership to reserve tickets. To discourage speculation on secondary-ticketing sites, there will be no refunds offered on ticket purchases.
