Tech and Cannabis Plays on the Rise

HENDERSON, NV / ACCESSWIRE / February 8, 2019 / Two of the hottest sectors this year could be Tech and Cannabis. Here are several plays in each sector you should take a look at. For instance, Maxwell Tech who was just snatched up by Tesla had us on the hunt for another tech acquisition candidate. We think an interesting play could be Gopher Protocol, Inc. (GOPH), an Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence enabled mobile technologies company that just finished an eight-city roadshow in Europe with Swiss Growth Forums. The company was also just added to the LD Micro Index, the index consists of 1000 companies and only 4% are OTC listed, which makes GOPH's addition all that more impressive. Currently, GOPH is coming off support which means now is an ideal time to research the company.

Today we are highlighting: Gopher Protocol, Inc. (GOPH), Aurora Cannabis, Inc. (ACB), The Green Organic Dutchman (TGODF), Organigram Holdings, Inc. (OGRMF), Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (MXWL).

Gopher Protocol, Inc. (GOPH) (Market Cap: $74.752M, Share Price: $0.40) specializes in the development of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence enabled mobile technologies, including a global mesh network technology platform for both mobile and fixed solutions. The company has been making major strides in the past few weeks. GOPH has initiated testing multiple antenna types and configurations as part of the final phase of development for its mesh network gateway device. Antennas are a crucial part of any wireless system, being the central communicator between wireless clients, so this announcement was very promising.

GOPH released even more promising news last week, announcing the competition of its distributed artificial intelligence (DAI) working model for their AI system and is now in the implementation stage. The implementation of DAI will be a key block to enable dynamic learning, planning, and fast decision making. It will also enable greater computation power and spatial distribution of Avant! computing resources. This system is planned to coordinate and synchronize between Avant! mobile app and its web application. Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) is a predecessor of the field of Multi-Agent Systems and is typically used for self-organized systems. Avant! DAI system is targeted to include interacting intelligent agents in order to solve problems that are highly difficult for an individual agent to solve. Gopher is scheduled to test its DAI system in mid-May 2019.

With everything it is developing GOPH could come back from Europe with good news for their early investors.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (ACB) (Market Cap: $7.664B, Share Price: $7.77) recently reported revenue rising to $29.9 million in the second quarter to Dec. 29, up 40% from the prior quarter. Proforma revenue, which includes revenue from pending acquisitions, came to $49.5 million.

The Green Organic Dutchman (TGODF) (Market Cap: $784.255M, Share Price: $2.5876) is a Canadian Licensed Producer growing out of Quebec. According to their investor information, they currently are growing on 620,000 square feet and are expanding to reach 970,000 square feet. Their website also states that they can produce 116,000 kg of cannabis per year. The company just announced that the Danish Medicines Agency, the Government body responsible for issuing cannabis related licenses, has granted an initial cannabis business authorization to TGODF's joint venture production partner Knud Jepsen. This licence will allow TGOD's JV partner Kund Jepsen to immediately begin importation of starting materials and to begin research and development related to the creation of elite cannabis genetics.

OrganiGram Holdings, Inc. (OGRMF) (Market Cap: $683.189M, Share Price: $5.31), a cannabis producer, just announced they are adding grow rooms which will more than triple target annual production capacity to 113,000 kg once complete.

Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (MXWL) (Market Cap: $213.296M, Share Price: $4.65) was acquired by Tesla in a $218 million deal that should see the electric car maker produce more efficient, longer-lasting batteries for its vehicles.
