Three teenage boys have been arrested after a girl claimed she was repeatedly gang-raped at a school in Israel.

The 13-year-old alleged victim said she was tied up and assaulted in a basement bomb shelter during break times over a ten-day period, according to reports.

Her father told Israel TV station Channel 13 that four boys took turns to attack her, with “two guards outside, two inside – one raping her and the other taking pictures”.

“I don’t know how such a thing happens inside the school,” he added. “She said they threatened to murder her and her little brother and share the videos if she told anyone.

“Where are the teachers? Where is the principal? The girl is devastated. Since then she has not left her room and has not stopped crying.”

The attack reportedly took place at a school in the southern city of Netivot near Gaza.

Israeli police said they launched an investigation after a complaint was filed on Friday.

One 16-year-old suspect was arrested on Saturday and two others were taken in for questioning on Sunday.

A lawyer for the first boy told Haaretz that the youth denies the alleged assault and “doesn’t know her at all”.

“He’s never met her and he wasn’t at the place where the girl says the rape happened,” the lawyer added.
