Telecare and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System Partner to Offer Senior Behavioral Health Center

ALAMEDA, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 13, 2013) - Telecare is partnering with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, Texas to manage the new CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Senior Behavioral Health Center at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center. With an anticipated opening scheduled for early summer 2013, the Center will provide short-term inpatient services for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The Senior Behavioral Health Center will serve individuals aged 65 and older with a primary psychiatric illness.

The Senior Behavioral Health Center at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center will provide short-term (7-14 days) inpatient services in tandem with other Medical Center services to ensure that patients' mental and physical health needs are addressed cohesively. The advanced psychiatric and associated medical care is based on a combination of individual, group, and family therapy settings, and includes occupational therapy and education. The Senior Behavioral Health Center will complement other outstanding senior services already offered at the Medical Center facility, such as the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Acute Center for Elderly (ACE) Program.
