A New True Crime Documentary From Discovery
True crime continues to captivate audiences everywhere, and Investigation Discovery might have your new obsession with Serial Killer: Devil Unchained. Focusing on serial killer Todd Kohlhepp, a South Carolina real estate agent and registered sex offender who killed multiple people and kept a woman, Kala Brown, chained in a metal storage container and raped her repeatedly.
A Heinous Crime
The trailer for Devil Unchained is absolutely chilling. Kohlhepp, a Spartanburg, South Carolina, resident was keeping Brown captive in a storage container on his property when he was caught and prosecuted. He was charged with seven consecutive life sentences and there are possibly even more bodies that are as yet undiscovered.
Early Signifiers
Kohlhepp exhibited many troubling behaviors as a child, such as being aggressive towards other children and pouring bleach in his fish bowl. As a teen, he also raped a 14-year-old girl and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Devil Unchained will offer viewers a fuller view of this man's horrific life, dig into the psyche of a serial killer, and perhaps offer some closure to those involved.
