Tesla recalls some Model S over mounting bracket defect

Tesla announced in a blog post that it is recalling some Model S vehicles manufactured between May 10, 2013 and June 8, 2013 due to a possible defect that reduces the company's confidence that the left hand seat back will be properly retained in the event of a crash. The company pointed out that the weld has not actually detached on any car, there have been no customer complaints, Tesla is not aware of any injuries or near injuries and no regulatory agency brought the defect to the company's attention.
