Tesla's truck crushes expectations; Fox attracts new suitors; Retail stocks jump

Here are the stocks we’re watching today:

Tesla (TSLA) shares are rising after Elon Musk revealed the company’s first all-electric semi-truck and a $200,000 supercar. Both J.B. Hunt (JBHT) and Walmart (WMT) placed reservations for multiple trucks.

The list of potential suitors for Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX) is growing. The Wall Street Journal reported that Comcast (CMCSA) and Verizon (VZ), our parent company, have expressed interest in buying a piece of the media company. Comcast is reportedly discussing an all-stock offer, according to CNBC, although a deal is not close.

Finally, we have a lot of good news for retailers:

  • Gap (GPS) shares are 6.4% higher after posting strong same-store sales growth.
  • Ross (ROST) is surging 9% after beating on earnings and revenue and raising current quarter guidance.
  • Foot Locker (FL) is 24.3% higher after an earnings and same-store sales beat.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) climbed 27% on a sales and profit beat.
