WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) _ Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TTPH) on Wednesday reported a loss of $22.5 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Watertown, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 61 cents.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $1.1 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.6 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $77.5 million, or $2.11 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.1 million.
Tetraphase shares have climbed 54 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.20, an increase of 38 percent in the last 12 months.
