"Texas and its wide array of attractions continues to grow in its appeal to tourists nationally and around the world," said Governor Abbott. "This growth of the travel and tourism industry is a testament to the history, traditions and experiences that Texas has to offer. As we celebrate the Lone Star State this week, I invite everyone to visit their favorite Texas destination, restaurant, or attraction and share what they love most about Texas on social media to continue the positive conversation about what makes this state a great place to visit."
The Governor is encouraging all Texans and those who have visited Texas to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #TexasToDo throughout Texas Travel and Tourism week.
Texas Tourism, in conjunction with the U.S. Travel Association, will spotlight the "Faces of Travel" on social channels throughout the week, introducing travelers (across Texas and beyond) to the unique individuals that help the Texas tourism industry thrive. These Texans speak to what it's like to work at a variety of attractions across the state, from museums and hotels to "only in Texas" destinations and experiences.
