Texas Tech has had a ton of trouble with field goals this season.

Entering Saturday’s game against TCU, the Red Raiders were a combined 7-of-15 on field goal attempts, with four different kickers attempting at least two field goals. Against the Horned Frogs, Clayton Hatfield was given the nod.

Things didn’t go well.

Hatfield hit a 22-yarder in the first quarter, but missed from 47 in the second and then 20 in the third. Yes, 20. It was ugly.

Hatfield couldn’t believe he hooked it that badly.

And Kliff Kingsbury was wondering why he didn’t just go for a touchdown.

Down 10-3, the Red Raiders started that drive at the TCU 6 after forcing a fumble. TTU made it to the 2, but opted to kick on fourth down.

The decision turned out terribly.
